The Siegfried Group, LLP is looking for a  Sr. Accountant (Reporting/Processes) to work with accounting and financial teams and with companies to develop reporting processes, and to prepare and review internal and external financial statements, internal controls, process improvement initiatives re: corporate accounting and financial reporting and auditing duties.

Responsibilities

• Work may involve financial projects of strategic importance, project implementation, financial reporting and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, internal auditing, complex financial and accounting initiatives and SOX issues.
• Perform financial analysis, including fluctuation, trend and variance analysis, and substantive audit testing on various financial statement areas.
• Research current GAAP and FASB pronouncements, and provide other accounting/finance assistance as needed to client corp.s w/$1 billion + revenues.

May be assigned to various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.

Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• At least 3 years in position offered or in public accounting/assurance role
• Execution of financial statement audits in accordance with SEC regulations
• Plan for process control walkthroughs
• Substantive testing procedures for complex audit areas (financial statement close process, revenue recognition and business combinations)
• Consolidation procedures in multi-currency environment, using Excel
• Coordinate with internal and external departments to gather information and perform testing
• Manage audit teams of 3 or more
• Guide staff in technical research of US GAAP
• Testing internal controls over financial reporting
