On September 18, Bill McColl, Director at The Siegfried Group, LLP (Siegfried), served as a co-chair of the 2025 Bay Area CFO of the Year Awards. Annually, this event recognizes stand-out CFOs from Bay Area organizations – ranging from public companies to non-profits. The event raises awareness for Larkin Street Youth Services, and all proceeds go directly to the non-profit and its mission of ending youth homelessness in the San Francisco Bay Area.
In support of Bill and Larkin Street’s meaningful cause, several members of Siegfried’s West Region attended the event, including Senior Vice President & Regional Managing Director Kevin Keegan and Managing Director Stacy Peterlin. Noreen Brar, Brendan Frasier, Benjamin Schuster, Antoine Cole, Mitchell Banning, Louis Ma, and Kyle Lubke from Siegfried also volunteered their time and attendance. Nearly 500 Bay Area business leaders took part in the gala and awards, and the evening raised more than $600,000.
“Bill did an unbelievable job representing Siegfried and the service-oriented mindset that shapes our Firm’s unique approach,” shared Kevin Keegan. “The event was an incredible opportunity to form connections with like-minded professionals who care deeply about building relationships and serving their local community in impactful ways.”
“The 19th Annual CFO of the Year Awards was inspiring on many levels – from hearing from the Bay Area’s most impressive CFOs, to furthering the mission that Larkin Street supports,” reflected Bill, who serves on the Larkin Street Board. “As a Board Member at Larkin Street, I am honored to contribute to such an important cause and to have the support of my community at Siegfried.”
Since 1984, Larkin Street Youth Services has helped over 80,000 young people experiencing homelessness, ages 12 to 24, through a range of services, including housing, education, employment, and outreach.
“This was my second fundraising event benefitting Larkin Street, and I remain impressed by their mission and quantifiable track record of success in breaking the cycle of youth homelessness in San Francisco, rather than just addressing the symptoms,” said Louis Ma, Associate Manager in Siegfried’s Silicon Valley market. “I also appreciated celebrating the inspiring accomplishments of CFOs, who are often the unsung heroes that keep the lights on.”
